Heavy Combination

The Heavy Combination Vehicle Licence allows you to drive any semi-trailer or any rigid vehicle towing a trailer with a GVM of more than 9 tonnes

To obtain a class Heavy Combination licence it is necessary to:

  • have held a class Medium Rigid or class Heavy Rigid licence for at least 12 months, tenure of class Medium Rigid P2 or class Heavy Rigid P2 can be included
  • pass an eyesight test;
  • pass a knowledge test, and
  • pass a class Heavy Combnation driving test or complete a Competency Based Assessment.

At DAVIDS we offer Electronic or Condition “B” gearboxes in the Heavy Combination licence class.

If you already have an unrestricted licence it will stay unrestricted.

Assessment

This is a NSW RMS approved Licence course. Drivers will be trained and assessed against the RMS competency standards by our RMS accredited assessors. After the required standard of competency has been achieved the RMS will issue the appropriate licence.

Cost

We Specialise in one day courses. These courses suit most people that can competently drive and do so regularly.

However we can revert to an hourly rate if more, or less time is required to complete all of the RMS licence requirements.
